The ATI Lab Analysis Pro ICP-OES test is a comprehensive water analysis kit designed specifically for saltwater reef aquariums. It evaluates 43 critical parameters, including essential elements like calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity, as well as trace nutrients and potential contaminants such as heavy metals. This advanced testing method uses ICP-OES technology to deliver highly accurate results that traditional test kits cannot match. The detailed analysis provides insights into the overall health of your reef tank, enabling you to make informed decisions for maintaining optimal water quality.

After having used this ICP test a couple of times, the jury is still out on this one. Out of the 31 elements and nutrients tested for, 15 are coming back with a --- reading, which I take as zero. I do small dosing every day and add some trace element additives daily. The trace elements cannot be zero for 13 of the minor elements, phosphorus and phosphates. Who has consistently zero phosphates? At this point, I don't think the results can be trusted. Time to try something else.
I sent my retest out on Monday, the 1st. Tracking showed it got there on the 8th. They emailed me today that they just received the test and that it will be another 2-3 business days until I get the results. So now the water is 2 weeks old, how accurate can it be after that long in limbo?
Results seem good- But their turn around time isn't the fasted. USPS says it was delivered on a Monday yet the lab says they didn't get it until Thursday delaying the testing even longer.
While ICP testing itself is a controversial topic, if you've decided it has value, then this is the kit to get! Make sure you have your ICP to California by Monday as they seem to ship to Germany on Tuesdays. This will get you the quickest turnaround. Been using these for almost monthly for the last 18 months and get very consistent results every time.
Really like the variety of elements they test. They also provide recommendations for what is a concern or not to "fix" and how much to dose based on your tank volume. You can also buy the specific element to supplement anything you are deficient in. Turn around time on the Test Results is relatively swift <10 days in my experience.
This ICP test does test for more things that the other ICP test out there. I also like the fact that it test the RODI for free as well. I've been using this one for a while now. I dont test that often. Only like every 6 to 8 months. The turnover time was bad before but its gotten way better. Before it was about 2 1/2 weeks to get the results. I just sent this in on 8/19/2021 and I got the results on 8/27/2021. Not bad at all. It took them less then 1 week to get it to Germany and 2 days for process. The ATI ICP also test for Nutrients (Nitrate and Phosphate/phosphorus) I'm happy with it and will continue to use ATI.
