The AquaFX 56,000 Grain Twin-Alternating Metered-Regen Water Softener is an essential pre-treatment system designed to provide a continuous supply of softened water for your saltwater reef aquarium needs. This robust unit effectively removes hard minerals from your source water, significantly extending the life and efficiency of your downstream RO/DI filtration system and ensuring optimal water quality for sensitive marine inhabitants. By eliminating mineral buildup, it helps maintain stable water parameters critical for coral health and overall system stability.

Featuring a substantial 56,000 grain capacity, this twin-alternating softener ensures an uninterrupted flow of soft water, making it ideal for high-demand applications where consistency is paramount. Its intelligent metered regeneration system monitors water usage, initiating regeneration only when needed for maximum efficiency and water conservation. With one resin tank always in service while the other is in standby, the system automatically switches tanks when the active resin nears capacity, ensuring that you never run out of softened water.

This system is perfectly suited for dedicated reef aquarists and professionals who demand the highest quality and most consistent water for their systems. By pre-treating your tap water, you protect your valuable RO/DI membranes from premature fouling, reduce the frequency of filter changes, and minimize maintenance costs associated with hard water scaling. Investing in the AquaFX water softener ensures a foundational level of water purity, leading to a healthier, more stable, and thriving reef environment.
