The AquaFX Water Softener 48,000 Grain Timed-Regen is a high-capacity whole house water softening system designed to effectively remove hard minerals from your water supply. By eliminating these minerals, it prevents the formation of scale and soap scum, ensuring a consistent supply of soft water throughout your home and for your aquarium's pre-filtration needs. This system operates with a time clock pin regeneration, providing reliable performance and convenience.

Boasting a substantial 48,000 grain capacity, this unit is engineered for significant water softening capabilities, making it suitable for larger homes or those with very hard water. Its timed regeneration feature allows for automated maintenance, ensuring optimal performance without constant manual intervention. Softened water not only improves personal care like softer skin and healthier hair but also leads to cleaner laundry and dishes, while significantly reducing the amount of soap and detergents needed by up to 50%.

This water softener is ideal for saltwater reef aquarium hobbyists who are serious about water quality and also want to improve their household water. By providing soft water, it extends the lifespan and efficiency of household appliances such as water heaters, washing machines, and refrigerators, reducing maintenance costs and utility bills. For the aquarist, it serves as an excellent pre-treatment for RO/DI systems, protecting membranes and prolonging filter life by reducing the mineral load, ultimately contributing to purer water for sensitive reef environments.
