The AquaFX Water Softener 32,000 Grain Timed-Regen is a robust whole house water treatment system designed to remove hard minerals like calcium and magnesium from your incoming water supply. For saltwater reef aquarists, this unit serves as a critical pre-treatment stage before your RO/DI system, significantly improving the quality and longevity of your reverse osmosis membranes and deionization resins by preventing scale buildup and premature exhaustion.

Featuring a substantial 32,000 grain capacity, this system effectively processes large volumes of water, making it suitable for demanding reef keeping setups. Its timed-regeneration mechanism, controlled by a reliable time clock pin, ensures consistent performance and convenience, automatically refreshing the softening media to maintain optimal efficiency. By delivering softened water, it also helps reduce the amount of soap and detergents needed for household use and extends the lifespan of various home appliances.

This water softener is an excellent investment for reef hobbyists residing in areas with exceptionally hard tap water, providing a foundational layer of water purification that protects their more sensitive RO/DI equipment. It's ideal for those seeking to minimize maintenance on their water purification setup, ensure the highest possible purity for their aquarium water, and achieve stable tank parameters essential for delicate corals and marine life, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more vibrant reef environment.
