The AquaFX Refillable Cartridge is an empty filter housing designed for use in reverse osmosis deionization systems. This cartridge allows aquarists to create their own custom filtration stages by filling it with their choice of bulk filter media. It serves as an economical and versatile alternative to disposable, pre-filled cartridges, giving you complete control over your water purification process for a pristine saltwater environment.

This durable cartridge measures 20 inches in length and 2 inches in diameter, fitting into standard RO/DI system housings that accept this size. It is specifically designed to be easily opened, filled, and sealed, making media replacement simple and mess-free. The shell is compatible with a wide range of loose media, including popular choices like Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), specialized Chloramine Blaster Carbon, and color-changing or standard DI resin for ultimate water purity.

This product is ideal for the cost-conscious or DIY-minded reef hobbyist who wants to lower the long-term operating costs of their RO/DI system. By purchasing filter media in bulk and refilling the cartridge as needed, users can achieve significant savings over time. It is perfect for aquarists who demand specific types of filtration media or simply prefer a more hands-on, sustainable approach to maintaining their water purification equipment.
