The AquaFX Poly-Blown Sediment Filter 10x4, 1 Micron is an essential pre-filter designed for advanced saltwater aquarium RO/DI systems. This high-performance filter efficiently removes a wide range of unwanted particles from your tap water, including sediment, silt, dirt, sand, scale, and rust. By trapping these contaminants early in the purification process, it ensures that your RO/DI unit operates at peak efficiency and produces the pristine water quality crucial for thriving reef environments.

Engineered with a poly-blown multi-layer gradient design, this filter boasts a multi-step micron rating that effectively captures particulates while simultaneously extending its service life and maintaining consistent water pressure. It is constructed from 100% pure thermal-bonded polypropylene, free from binders, solvents, or glues, and uses food-grade materials manufactured to FDA standards. With a robust 1-micron rating, large capacity, and high flow capabilities, it can withstand a maximum water temperature of 140F (60C) and a maximum pressure of 120PSI.

This sediment filter is ideal for any reef aquarist seeking to optimize their water purification setup and protect their sensitive marine inhabitants from impurities. Its superior construction and efficient particle reduction safeguard more expensive downstream filtration components, such as RO membranes and DI resin, ensuring a longer lifespan for your entire RO/DI system. Regular replacement every 4-6 months, or upon observing a 5PSI pressure drop, guarantees a continuous supply of clean, pure water, promoting the health and stability of your reef aquarium.
