AquaFX Poly-Blown Sediment Filter 10x2, 1 Micron by AquaFX - Filter Media

Description

The AquaFX Poly-Blown Sediment Filter is a crucial component for any high-performance saltwater reef aquarium RO/DI system, specifically designed to purify incoming tap water. This 1-micron filter efficiently reduces common contaminants such as sediment, silt, dirt, sand, scale, and rust particles before the water proceeds to further filtration stages. By effectively removing these larger particulates, it safeguards subsequent filters and ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your entire water purification setup.

Crafted with a poly-blown multi-layer gradient design, this filter employs a multi-step micron rating that maximizes particulate trapping capacity while extending its operational life. It is constructed from 100% pure thermal-bonded polypropylene, completely free of binders, solvents, or glue, meeting strict food-grade material standards for safety and purity. Engineered to FDA standards, it offers a large capacity and high flow rate, capable of handling maximum water temperatures up to 140F (60C) and pressures up to 120 PSI.

This 10x2 inch sediment filter is an ideal choice for owners of AquaFX Barracuda, Dolphin, Moray, Mako, Octopus, Hammerhead, Great White, and Whale Shark RO/DI systems, as well as most residential RO systems utilizing standard 10-inch canisters. Regular replacement every 4-6 months, or upon observing a 5 PSI pressure drop, is recommended to maintain peak performance, ensure consistent water pressure, and protect the efficiency of your downstream RO membrane and DI resin, ultimately contributing to the pristine water quality essential for a thriving reef environment.
