The AquaFX Moray Standard System 20x2 is a robust pre-filtration unit designed to prepare tap water for your saltwater aquarium. This essential system effectively removes sediment, silt, chlorine, and various organic compounds, ensuring cleaner water enters your primary purification stages or directly into your tank if further TDS reduction is not needed for your specific application. While it excels at removing common tap water contaminants, it is important to note this particular standard system will not lower total dissolved solids (TDS) or parts per million (PPM). Key features include a highly effective 1-micron sediment filter, capable of capturing grit larger than one micron, and a chlorine guzzler carbon block pre-filter to neutralize chlorine. An upgrade to a chloramine blaster is also available for enhanced performance. The system boasts an aluminum never-rust bracket for durability, high-quality clear canisters for easy visual inspection, and quick-connect fittings for straightforward installation. Its 20x2 standard filter size simplifies finding replacement cartridges, offering convenience and cost savings. This pre-filtration system is an excellent choice for saltwater hobbyists seeking reliable removal of sediment and chlorine from their source water. It is particularly well-suited for those who already utilize a separate reverse osmosis membrane and deionization stage, or for applications where only primary contaminant removal is required. The AquaFX Moray Standard System provides a solid foundation for water quality management, ensuring your aquarium receives cleaner water from the start and extending the life of subsequent filtration components.
