This is the AquaFX Premium Blend Mix-Bed DI Resin, a critical component for saltwater aquarium RO/DI systems. It is designed to produce ultra-pure, 18 Mega Ohm resistivity water by effectively removing dissolved solids and impurities after the reverse osmosis membrane. This 0.5 cubic foot refill ensures your system continues to deliver the high-quality water essential for the health and stability of delicate reef and saltwater environments, preventing the introduction of harmful contaminants. This DI resin is distinguished by being virgin resin, not recycled, which eliminates the risk of introducing heavy metals like copper often found in recycled resins from other industries. It features a convenient color-indicating formula that changes from dark blue to orange or rust red, signaling when it's time for replacement. Proudly made in the USA, this nuclear-grade, mixed-bed blend of cation and anion deionization resin provides reliability trusted by reef aquarists and even large-scale events like MACNA. The AquaFX MixBed DI Resin is ideal for any reef or saltwater aquarist seeking laboratory-grade water quality for their aquarium. It is compatible with AquaFX RO/DI systems and can also be used in any other brand's refillable DI filter shell, including BRS, Spectrapure, Vertex, and IceCap, to ensure zero PPM output. By providing consistently pure water, it helps maintain optimal conditions, supports sensitive corals and fish, and prevents common water quality issues caused by tap water impurities.
