The AquaFX Chloramine Blaster Carbon Filter 10" x 4.5" is an essential component for RO/DI systems, specifically engineered to purify water supplies treated with chloramine. Unlike standard carbon filters that only remove the chlorine component, this advanced filter effectively targets and eliminates both chlorine and the associated ammonia, which is crucial for preventing premature exhaustion of your DI resin and ensuring the highest water quality for your delicate reef environment.

This medical-grade carbon filter boasts superior specifications, featuring a unique pressure treatment process that modifies its outer electron shell configuration, making it a highly reactive and efficient medium. Its advanced ammonia removal capabilities are so effective that this type of carbon is utilized in dialysis applications where the removal of ammonia is absolutely essential. The filter comes in a refillable cartridge designed to hold 2.4 pounds of this specialized Chloramine Blaster media, which is carefully packed loosely to prevent channeling and maximize contact time for optimal filtration performance.

This product is ideally suited for saltwater reef aquarists who rely on RO/DI water and whose municipal water source uses chloramines for disinfection. By integrating the AquaFX Chloramine Blaster into their filtration setup, hobbyists can confidently produce ultra-pure water free from harmful chloramines and ammonia, thereby safeguarding their sensitive corals and fish. It provides an indispensable layer of protection, extending the lifespan of costly DI resin and offering peace of mind that their aquarium receives only the cleanest water possible.
