Description
The AquaFX Carbon Block Filter 10x2 serves as the crucial second stage in your saltwater aquarium's RO or RO/DI water purification system. Engineered to tackle common water impurities, it excels at removing chlorine, fluoride, pesticides, herbicides, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can be detrimental to delicate reef environments. This essential filter ensures your source water is pre-treated, eliminating bad tastes and odors before further purification.
Crafted from high-purity coconut shell activated carbon, this block filter guarantees exceptional performance, effectively removing 99% of chlorine, taste, and odor. It features food-grade, non-shedding polypropylene fabric to capture carbon fines, impurities, and sludge, ensuring cleaner water output. Designed with food-grade materials, it is BPA-free and environmentally friendly, incorporating a silicone O-ring to prevent bypass and maximize filtration efficiency. It can process up to 3750 gallons at 2ppm chlorine and withstands temperatures up to 140F (60C) and pressures up to 120PSI.
The AquaFX Carbon Block Filter 10x2 is ideal for reef aquarists utilizing AquaFX RO/DI systems such as the Barracuda, Dolphin, Moray, Mako, Octopus, Hammerhead, Great White, and Whale Shark, as well as most residential RO systems equipped with standard 10-inch canisters. For optimal water quality and system performance, it is recommended to replace this carbon block filter every 4-6 months, ensuring a consistent supply of pristine water for your thriving marine ecosystem.
