AquaFX Bio Pellets are a premium filter media designed to naturally reduce nitrate and phosphate levels in your saltwater aquarium. These 100% biodegradable polymers, also known as NP-Active Pearls, serve as a solid carbon source to cultivate beneficial bacteria. As these bacteria grow, they consume nitrates and phosphates directly from the water column, creating a healthier and more stable environment for all your fish and corals without the need for chemical additives.

Made in the USA from pure PHA-based polymers, this media offers a more convenient and stable alternative to daily liquid carbon dosing. For optimal performance, the bio pellets must be used in a fluidized reactor that provides constant water flow to keep them in motion. It may take two to four weeks for the bacterial colony to establish and begin reducing nutrients. Pellets should be replenished every six to nine months as they are consumed. A high-quality protein skimmer is strongly recommended to export the bacteria and excess nutrients from the system.

This product is ideal for reef and saltwater aquarists seeking an effective, automated method for nutrient control. It is particularly well-suited for hobbyists with heavily stocked tanks or those who struggle with persistent nitrate and phosphate issues. By providing a steady food source for denitrifying bacteria, AquaFX Bio Pellets help maintain pristine water quality with minimal daily effort, allowing for a more successful and enjoyable reef-keeping experience.
