Aquaforest AF Bio Sand is a premium white sand designed for saltwater aquariums that jumpstarts the nitrogen cycle and establishes biological filtration rapidly. This unique substrate comes pre-inoculated with lab-cultured nitrifying bacteria and nutrients to support immediate bacterial colonization upon activation. By integrating this specialized sand into your system you can significantly reduce cycling time while creating a pristine foundation for your reef display.

Composed of high-purity calcium carbonate with an ultra-clean bright white appearance this substrate helps maintain stable pH and alkalinity levels throughout the tank. The specific grain size range of 0.5 to 1.5 millimeters offers a versatile texture suitable for various aquascaping styles without compacting excessively. Each bag includes separate bottles containing bacteria and nutrients that must be mixed with saltwater and activated at temperatures between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius before adding the sand to your aquarium in small increments.

This product is best suited for hobbyists building new reef tanks or performing major substrate replacements who desire a faster start to their biological filtration process. Aquarists looking to achieve a bright fresh look while ensuring water chemistry stability will find this sand particularly beneficial for long-term system health. It serves as an ideal solution for those prioritizing rapid colonization and ease of maintenance in their marine environment setups.
