Went to change filters and found was all out in stock. Ordered from BRS and was here in time to change water a couple days later. BRS has been the goto place for me
The membranes is good been using it for 2 year for in house drink water PPM is low as 10.
Used this for my 150 gpd RODI replacement (use 2). Have made 200 gallons so far and no problems. Was a little worried since when I first installed, my previous booster pump setting need to be reduced by 10 psi, but have no issues.
1st time changing membranes and they are producing higher TDS than the replaced old membranes. Tried to tell BRS CS that these are bad membranes but all I got was try this, then try that, and here's a video on how to install. No..... just bad membranes!
Just received this membrane and was surprised by a couple of things. 1) It does not come packaged in an air tight vacuum sealed bag (just a loose plastic bag). Every other membrane I've purchased in the past was vacuum sealed in foil (supposedly necessary to ensure integrity of membrane). 2) It did not come with a flow limiter. I've always received a new limiter to match the GPD rating of the membrane.
Already made over 50 gallons with this, it's putting out 3-5 tds before it reaches the DI.
its really what i expected it to be so there is no complaints.
I have been using 2 of these 75gpd membranes consistently for almost 6 years now on my 8 stage setup! I have great water where I live, so that's part of the reason. I always do a 3-5 minute flush when I use my setup. I use a 5 micron sediment, a 1 micron sediment, a 5 micron carbon, a 1 micron carbon, 2 75gpd ro, and 2 di resin. This keeps my tds meter always at 0 on output. The flush always puts the incoming tds between 3-6. Am now using my apex controller and solenoid valves to automate the flush and ato reservoir fill. Has never been easier to keep the tank!
I have had a TDS of 36 for years with several different membranes purchased from various different companies. I called talked to tech support and they were extremely helpful. I purchase a new flow restrictor and this membrane and now my TDS is 1. I always thought my high TDS was a byproduct of my source water. I will never buy RO parts from anywhere other than BRS again. Thanks
There is something in my water that depletes membranes, so it is nice to get a reasonable one that I can change out frequently without breaking the bank. I tried the very expensive low rejection rate ones and they broke down just as fast as this one.
75GPD is the max this filter will make. I normally get only about 50.
I knew my old membrane was shot. Purchased the 75 GPD Dow membrane and changed my 3rd stage from Catalytic Carbon to the universal carbon block. The old membrane had 397 tds going in and 97 out. I now have 367 in and 18 out. Next step will be 0.5 micron sediment filter instead of 1 micron. Still have a dozen 1 micron left. Bottom line is 96 GPD of beautiful water from a 75 GPD rated membrane.
A great membrane for the price. My old membrane was producing a TDS of about .9 so it needed replacement. The Dow membrane recorded 0.0 TDS. A no brainer if your not looking for a lot of production in a 24 hour period. With cold water going through, about 5 gallons in two hours. Perfect for my use.
I upgraded to this in May of 2016 from a 50gpd RO membrane. To date, this membrane has performed flawlessly. I installed a manual flush valve that I run roughly once per month for about 10-15 minutes.
I used this in membrane (75gpd Dow) in three different cities. They don't last long. In my current location, the TDS out of the tap is 110- not bad. However these filters on average last about 10 months. I'll still buy until there is something better.
This is a great membrane. It does what it's supposed to do, and my TDS reader shows an improvement after replacing my old membrane. I'm down to 0 on the reader now with 100+ on the input end.
My first membranes lasted three years. We use lots and lots of water. and have good through put and consistent water quality. We use electronic monitoring and got three years with our last set.
Glad I made the decision to upgrade my system from a 50GPD Pentair membrane. Produces water the same ppm but fills the take so much faster.
I have a lot of confidence in BRS products, including this one. Great value, also.
Lasts twice as long as other cheaper RO membranes on the market. High quality and worth the money.
Delivers high quality water at a great price!
Easy to replace once a year, on Black Friday sales, not sure if they need to be but not that expensive for a years worth of water, normally my di resin turns completely brown and I change everything, why take a change on ur investment of fish and corals
I purchased this to replace my old 100gpd and decided to do the 150gpd upgrade kit. I also added the Dual DI Canister and boy am I satisfied. I'm producing 240gpd and couldn't ask for anything more. I love it and wish I would have made the switch earlier.
Easy to install. The original in the BRS Stage 4 kit has lasted for years. So we will see how long this one lasts.
Drops supply water from approximately 150ppm to 3ppm for a solid 18 months. Got 2 years from the same membrane that came with the BRS RO/DI kit but only 18 months from the last 2 replacements. No change in supply water quality and I use the membrane flush kit regularly.
Tried this with my Spectrapure MaxCap 90. Was getting about 30 GPD. Tried different restrictors, including a ball valve to adjust flow to any level. The most I could get was about 75ml per minute which is 28.5G in 24 hours. BRS tech advice was to try their 550ml restrictor barrel but no guarantees. Not sure how it could get from 30 gpd to 75 gpd. If you try and it produces 75 gpd let me know. It could have been a bad membrane but the tech didn't think so. 2 stars because maybe it actually produces 75 gpd with the BRS RODI kit. It just doesn't do it with the Spectrapure.
I changed my membrane for the first time last night, it only took a few minutes. The BRS guide was extremely helpful and made changing it out even easier.
its always a good idea to replace with the rest of the filters
Awesome product wouldn't expect anything less from best. Always been my good to place..
Great product at a great price.
I replaced my tired RO membrane with this one and am very happy! Output and water quality is great! Made 500 gallons with is recently and the output water from this membrane was so clean, it didn't even consume a single DI resin cartridge!
It is the cheapest place to get a RO membrane for the price. If it's labeled for aquarium use they're usually twice the price but the price at BRS is even cheaper than the membranes at my local water purification store
Great price, free shipping and on a quality product, thx BRS!
Great product at a great price! way to go BRS!
Yes I will recommend this product this is my 2nd menbrane I own no problem great results & ease to install.
Be sure to have some needle nose pliars with you to pull out the old membrane - bare hands just won't work.
Best replacement RO filter at great price
Great product at a great price.
These are the best filters and the price is right. Filters everything out.
Clean water with a lower price. You can't beat it.
Easy replacement Great Part Great Service
After three years with my RODI unit doing the job, I decided it was time for a refresh on the RO membrane (in addition to my yearly update on the rest of the unit (filter, carbon blocks, DI resin)). I received my RO membrane and was like, "...uh, what now?" I quickly found this article from BRS explaining every aspect of replacing the unit with all sorts of tips for getting the job done. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/instructions/article/changing-your-reverse-osmosis-membrane Just a few minutes later, I had it installed and was running water though it. Thanks for the write-up BRS! Great product.
I have used these membranes from day one and will continue to use them.
wasn't sure this would fit since i had got my rodi unit at another site. Well if DID and the new membrane i feel works even better, was easy to change, and a great value and allowed me to order other items at once from same site.....bulk reef supply is really a one stop shop for reef keeping..
So far so good. I was going through DI cartridges at a rate of 1 per week. It was time to replace the membrane. This one seems very well build and good quality.
My local store charges almost 3 times as much as BRS. BRS has great service, great price!
Called with a question about my ro unit and BRS got me exactly what Ineeded. Great price and easy to change out.
My TDS is 0, RO membrane from last year is still working strong and I know my water was filthy because the city recently did work on the piping and had an outbreak of algae. Their response was to bomb the city system with enough chlorine and chloramines to kill a horse. That being said, the fish never knew! Highly recommend these membranes, they last.
This is a good quality product that is very easy to replace. I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
This is the second one I've purchased from BRS. Brought my tds right back down to 3,so after it goes through the di chamber the tds is zero. Can't go wrong with using this membrane.
Very simple to swap.
First of all anyone concerned about the compatibility of this membrane with a Coral Life II 24GPD system, don’t be. This 75 GPD membrane fits perfectly with no problems to speak of. Make sure if you are upgrading the output (in my case 24 GPD to 75 GPD) membrane, be sure to get the matching flow restrictor and put the restrictor on the waste side of the membrane (in my case it is the red waste water side). It took be all of about 10 minutes to install and upgrade, of which 5 minutes was spent trying to get the old membrane out LOLOLOL. If you are considering this upgrade, just do it. The price is the best out there and of course, it comes with the best service and prices that we all love BRS for.
BRS doesn't cut corners. this is the best company for RO membranes out there. And it's easy to install (comes with instructions!)
Good quality membrane. Super easy to throw in. Brings my tds from over 200 to around 7. I'm pretty happy with it.
I produce about 5 gal of RO water a week. My first filter lasted a few years. Just replaced recently and works like a charm. A little difficult removing from the RO cannister, but that's just the way it works.
Upgraded my older 35 gallon per day membrane with this one and my water production nearly tripled.
Bought this to upgrade existing unit and have to say I've never used a better membrane especially for the price 0tds Ty brs
First membrane that came with my value RO unit gave me 0ppm water with the inline TDS meter from BRS. Which was about 1.5 micro siemens on my higher quality TDS meter. This one brings the ppm to about 1-3ppm at any given time. This hasn't been a problem in any of my tanks. Very satisfied overall with the product.
Replaced mine last week along with all the filters and everything once again works like new. My original membrane lasted over two years and I have a 180 and a 90 gallon tank and make a lot of water.
This specific membrane in general is the only type and manufacture that I use in my RODI system. I just now had to replace mine after 1 year of use. And I have to 32 gallon water wells , one for mixing my saltwater one for my r.o. H²O. And I currently have a 125gal reef Display and a 55gal frag tank so I use my r.o. system on a weekly basis. So I can't say enough good things about this product and manufacture.
Very good product, long lasting. Performing as expected.
Knocks tds down to 8 ppm. Works well. Will buy another at some point.
I have always used this membrane from day one. Best on the market.
Original had a 50 Gallon per day unit RO units, Purchased 2 75 gallon RO and various pieces to make conversation. When like a dream ( not nightmare) and now getting all RO water I can use in one day. Have three 55 drums setup for Top of Unit and salt making to support my 135 and 92 gallon reef and Fish only tanks. Wish I did this conversation years ago. Water bill and time I save is great. BRS sells upgrade setup for 75 gallon RO and it is really worth the cost to lower you water usage. Thanks BRS for video that directed me to doing conversation.
I purchased this product to upgrade from a 50 gpd. I am very happy with the performance of this ro membrane and would purchase again.
This 75 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane is the best one you can buy in my opinion. I have used this brand in the past and each one has lasted me over 3 years each. It's worth the money.
Higher quality than my old membrane. Fit perfect with my RO unit from another company.
Retrofited a drinking water system witth this 75 GPD membrane. Worked great. Now I have enough water for the house and thee tank!
this membrane filters so much better then the other brand that came in my RO unit from another brand it removes a lot more dts so it makes the di stage last longer Buy this your tank will appreciate it!!!!
I bought one for my ro /di system and it gets me the 000 tds I need to keep my reefs happy & healthy.
I’m using only Filmtec membrane and I think it’s the best.
I ordered one today to replace my previous 75 GPD that I ordered from BRS. TDS coming out of this membrane is 2 whcih the BRS color changing resin drops down to 0. Replacing the membrane is a snap and when this one needs replacing, I'll be ordering from BRS again.
98% rejection rate out of the package, awesome. Supply water after the membrane 2 ppms.
I was using a 50gph membrane that would not lower my tds less than 80. Bought this one and its down to 5. Will buy again and again
I purchased this membrane approximately six months ago. It works very well! Will my very high TDS city water and subpar water pressure I still get a great rejection rate out of this membrane. It provide 3-4 TDS water which my DI resin quickly polishes to a sparkling O TDS. I am very satisfied with this purchase! Thanks BRS!
Upgraded from a 50gpd membrane that came with my system to a 75gpd filmtec and really like the increased output with about the same ppm discharge. Remember to change your flow restrictor.
Recieved the products quicly. I replaced my cuurent membrane with this one. I was so pleased with the results I actually upgarded my system to a 150 GPD system from BRS. Easy to change and provides excellent water quality. Definitly the way to go.
I looked all over and this was the best bang for the buck. Works great and no complaints.
Couldn't be happier. For the price and the quality I don't think you can beat these. After having issues with my 100gpd membrane (probably due to low incoming pressure) I switched to the 75 and have noticed an improvement in performance.
I have had my unit for 2 to 3 years and have only had to replace once. It's great when combined with a TDS meter and a backwash kit. For a consumer with a couple of tanks, nothing bigger than this would be resonible or affordable. This is the way to go for this hobby. Plus it saves lots of money from having to buy water and carry it. More money for corals.
Just switched from 50gpd to 75gpd and it dont get any easier than this. Great product.
it works well.now to upgrade to an 150 gpd. since i got psi up from the booster pump. hee hee hee
Replaced my original RO membrane with this - works great...no reservations at all.
order one to replace my old coral life 25gpd and i love it
Before trying these membranes I was using one for double the cost. I will never switch back. This produces as clean of water at a much better value. It is also producing 15 more gallons a day than my previous unit with the same rejection rate.
better flow that the last membrane, quick results
After being out of the hobby about a year I needed to replace my filters, and with the help of the BRS team, I was able to order my replacements... Thanks BRS
I replaced my two 90gpd spectrapure membranes with these membranes, and the flow is surprisingly much better. Im assuming this is due to the lower flow rate and temperatures that these membranes need.
major improvement over my dow 100gpd.tds levels are now at 0.water production went from about 2gph to 4gph.buy it you want be sorry.
Great Membrane, Great Price
Best value and performance i have found.
works great, never had any problems.
Excellent product! I upgraded from a 50 gpd to this 75 gpd and got a bonus of much better rejection %! Very easy to install, just make extra sure the membrane is seated properly. Makes my DI resin last longer..
wow where was this price when I first started this hobby?? I would let my other membrane go a little long do to the price but not anymore!! this works just as good as any other out there and at nearly half the cost!!! no more dirty water ever!!! no more reason to not change the mebrane anymore...
This membrane was such a great deal and a grwat fit for my RO/DI unit. I am so glad i found this for this cheap because my local pet shop wants over $100 for theres. NO way will i ever buy from anyone else... A++ like always from BRS..
I have been using the 75 GPD Dow Filmtec RO Membrane for a few years now and water quatity is excellent. Will always use this membrane.
Easy to install, 0 TDS. This is one of the best membranes available.
230 PPM TDS in - 0 PPM TDS out at 75GPD for $40! Stop reading reviews and buy it already. :)
Great price and good product made avaliable for aquarist like myself
i dont know how you could offer anything better than this membrane....pure water out for a long time
Not enough data for price history chart
