The VCA No-Sock 4-Inch Silencer is an innovative filtration accessory designed to eliminate the noisy splashing and gurgling sounds associated with traditional filter socks in saltwater aquariums. This device fits directly into standard four-inch filter sock holders and functions as a water diffuser that breaks up falling streams to create a whisper-quiet operation while still providing effective mechanical filtration for your sump system.

This versatile unit features unique internal geometry that prevents air gulping and loud burps commonly heard in high-flow setups, allowing aquarists to use disposable filter floss instead of reusable cloth socks. By simply placing a piece of poly-fill inside the silencer cup, users can trap detritus efficiently and discard the media when dirty without the hassle of washing smelly socks. The design ensures a perfect fit for standard four-inch holders and maintains full compatibility with Red Sea Reefer filter sock trays.

Ideal for reef hobbyists seeking to simplify their maintenance routine while achieving a peaceful aquarium environment, this silencer cup offers a practical solution for those tired of manual sock cleaning and unwanted sump noise. It is the perfect upgrade for anyone looking to streamline their mechanical filtration process, reduce water disturbance in the display tank, and maintain crystal clear water with minimal effort.
