The 20 inch by 2.5 inch Purtrex depth sediment filter is designed to enhance the efficiency of RO/DI systems for saltwater and freshwater aquariums. Unlike typical surface filters, this true gradient technology filter captures contaminants throughout its entire thickness, ensuring consistent performance until it becomes visibly dirty or shows a drop in pressure. With a micron rating of 0.6 and 5 microns nominal filtration, this filter is capable of trapping larger particles near the surface while smaller particles are filtered deeper within the medium.
